Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant at the Department of Folklore Research, Gauhati University, Guwahati, under an ICSSR-sponsored major research project. The selected candidate will support a project on Assamese Jewellery and Sustainable Livelihoods. The last date to apply is 30 April 2025.

| Eligibility | Postgraduate in Social Science disciplines with minimum 55% marks and NET/M.Phil/Ph.D. |
| Desirable Qualifications | Experience in fieldwork, interviews, and participatory research methods Strong academic writing skills in English Published research in reputed journals |
| Tenure | Initially 12 months, extendable based on performance and project requirement |
| Stipend | ₹37,000 per month (Consolidated) |
